What is Furend?
Omachi-dori in Ichinoseki is a place that once flourished as Ichinoseki inn on the Oshu Kaido. This place is now called “Ichinoseki Omachi Shopping Street“, leaving a good old townscape, and the summer festivals are also held every summer there.
“Noodle & Cafe Furend” is a well-established coffee shop in Ichinoseki Omachi Shopping Street. it is operated by two people, the master and the older brother. There is a retro atmosphere, and you can enjoy a relaxing time.
Although it is a coffee shop, it has a wide range of menus, including Western dishes, set meals, ramen, drinks, and desserts, etc.

Frend has specialty that many Ichinoseki people may know. That is this “Big Parfait”! I also ate this when I was a student.
This time I ordered a big parfait (blueberry 850yen) You can see its size compared to the cup next to it!
It has plenty of blueberry sauce and apples and other fruits are on top. In addition, there are fresh cream, ice cream, and corn flakes inside it.
It’s quite big, but I ate it all alone. Of course, it is just the right amount to share with two people.
It has different kinds of flavors: chocolate, strawberry, and melon. Please choose your favorite taste.
By the way, there is also a normal size parfait, and there are a total of 15 flavors, from familiar flavors to slightly different varieties such as bavarois and moonlight.
