What is Sukawadake Hisui Bunanomegumi?

Sukawadake has been popular as a hot spring resort since the Edo period. It is said that there were people ‘Goriki‘ carrying a luggage and a visiter to a hot spring resort on their backs. The best water “Hyakko water” that moistened their throat is the origin of Sukawadake Hisui Bunanomegumi.
It had not been found for many years, but it was discovered in 2000 when a people searched based on the legend that remains in this area. Although it was devastatingly damaged by the Iwate-Miyagi Nairiku Earthquake in 2008, it is currently being constructed as a water drawing station.
