If you drive from Ichinoseki’s scenic spot “Genbikei” toward Mt. Kurikoma, you will see a dam lake on your left. That is the sand control dam “Yabitsu Dam“!
A typical dam lake has a deep blue color that is close to black, but the dam lake formed by the Yabitsu Dam looks emerald green because it contains hot spring ingredients. The lake that reflects the sunlight and shines brilliantly is an eye-catching presence in the scenery of the countryside and the mountains.
Yabitsu Dam has a parking lot and a passage, so that you can enjoy the emerald green lake and the flowing water.
